Reply to 'no need to ask for help'
Hallow · 28 October 2026 · Version

What this shows
To 'The Bible says 'God helps those who help themselves', so I shouldn't ask anyone for help.', the reply says 'You do not need to conclude that you should never ask for help' and calls the saying 'not a safe summary of Christian teaching'. It quotes Pope Leo XIV ('Let us not be afraid to ask...') with a source marker; a subheading reads 'Effort and help belong together'.
