Four AI personas to choose from

“Choose your voice for Faith” lists four cards over painted portraits: Faith (Female, “Empathetic, caring”), Creed (Male, “Calm, deep”), Hope (Female, “Enthusiastic, fast”) and True (Male, “Youthful, kind”), each with a play button. Faith is selected; a Continue button sits above the tab bar.

Design takeaway

Choosing a temperament and a face makes the assistant a character. Nothing on the screen says the voices are synthetic or that the portraits are generated; say so where the choice is made.

AI persona

From a plain tool with no name, through labelled and named assistants, to personas, companions and chatbots speaking as Jesus: decide how much personhood an AI in a faith app performs, and make what it is as clear as how it sounds.
