“Next from”: a podcast player’s auto-queue

A general podcast player shows the current episode, speed, skip and a sleep timer, then “Next from:” the same show with a list of further episodes queued to play.

Design takeaway

A control example from a mainstream podcast app: the queue keeps listening going by default. A devotional session should end instead, and let the listener choose what comes next.

What this example establishes

A general podcast player shows the current episode, speed, skip and a sleep timer, then “Next from:” the same show with a list of further episodes queued to play.

Limits and further verification

A still image shows one interface state. Gestures, timing, accessibility, persistence and what happens next were not tested. App version not recorded.

Devotional audio

From guided prayer with Scripture read twice and room for silence, through a teaching conversation and a one-voice devotional talk, to a sleep story that fades out, and an endless generated stream as a warning case: decide what each format does with Scripture, with the listener’s attention, and with the end of the session.
