A design reference
A lectio-style listening practice
Offer a contemplative sequence without requiring chat or recorded responses.
A chosen passage and a clearly attributed practice structure.
Proposed flow
- Read or listen
Present verified Scripture and the selected edition.
- Reflect
Repeat a chosen portion or offer an optional question.
- Pray
Offer authored words, editable assistance or silence.
- Rest
Use an untimed pause or a timer chosen by the person.
- Close
Finish or retain a private question; saving is a separate choice.
Recovery and alternative routes
This is one adaptable lectio-style proposal, not a universal liturgical prescription. Traditions and accessibility needs may call for another sequence. Distress must not be made into a mandatory lesson.
What counts as a complete outcome
Quiet participation is complete; no journal entry or progress score is required.
Decisions within this flow
Engagement facets to specify
