What this shows
After a suggested question ("How can I overcome temptation?"), the companion replies in a casual friend's voice: "Man, that's the oldest fight there is", 1 Corinthians 10:13, "finding that escape hatch before you're in too deep", then a question back. Earlier it asked "what's one thing I should know about you if we are going to be friends?"
